A man for all occasions
DC does no longer disappear with shiver due to sudden fever,
Heavy pressure of work has made him look trimmer &
stronger.
Files keep coming to his desk in numbers with tags like
“urgent’
He disposes those cases first, which HE feels are more
important !
Dependability has now become a hallmark of his character
Efficiency & a cool temper have made him extremely
popular.
A smiling face, down to earth attitude & ever willing
to learn
Such qualities, rare now-a-days, have earned him a good
reputation.
Has endeared the bosses too, by sharing important
information
His word of mouth is always believed requiring no
confirmation.
A staunch believer in the old saying that ‘You reap what
you sow’
Helping people including seniors in need, has made his
career grow!
While most in office struggle to commute due to embargo
on Pick-up
He tackles the issue effortlessly with other groups
without any Hiccup!
‘Sherlock’, ‘Poirot’, ‘Felu-da’ etc are the names people gave
him affectionately
As he has uncanny power of observation and does his job so
passionately.
He is a doting father of two and a very obedient husband
after work hours
Goes beyond his physical ability for household chores to
show that he cares !
An engineer of extra-ordinary common sense and very friendly
behaviour
He is a crisis manager for all (reasons & seasons)
and always acts as a saviour.
Having thorough knowledge of all his future worldly needs
and that of his family
He has become an owner of two prime properties at his
home city already.
Having accomplished things at this young age which is
definitely a revelation
He still has time for friends & all others, and that
makes him a real champion!!

SERA BANGALI
Curt, covertly shrewd, reticent and at
times recalcitrant
He is unique and lonesome but
undoubtedly very intelligent.
Shrouded in an aura of mystery and
unfamiliarity
He appears casually calm and without
any anxiety.
Beneath the outer camouflage of
nonchalant mannerism
He is extremely gritty and a person of
highest wisdom !
Tactful, courageous and not afraid to
express his opinion
He expects his team to ‘deliver’ by
rising to the occasion.
People, who have known him for ages,
fail to read him well
He is inscrutable, taciturn and looks composed
in his secret veil.
He may not be an outstanding leader,
who, people would love to follow
But integrity and strength of
character- makes him a remarkable fellow.
He has risen to the pinnacle of his
career by remaining fair and disciplined
He is now in a position to call the
shots and speak out his brilliant mind.
He is a good listener and allows
others to always explain their stand
But one can never judge his feelings &
say, if he is seriously concerned !
He is the supreme bread earner for the
company which is presently facing bad-days
But he remains unperturbed and devoid
of any expression under all circumstances.
Descendant of a family of Zamindars
from the district Bardhaman of West Bengal
The ''inherited'' mental toughness has turned him into a hardcore professional.
Arrogance personified, as he unnerves people with his blank look & stony face
Aptly called ‘Sera Bangali’, as he is
a rare breed & represents a rebel race!!

A PEEP INTO THE PAST.......ART OF WRITING ENGLISH
Rabindranath Tagore’s letter to the then Viceroy of India, Lord Chelmsford, in which he had formally announced the renunciation of his Knighthood, after the Jallianwalla Bagh massacre. This letter was published in ‘The Statesman’ on 3 June 1919.
Your Excellency,
|
The enormity of the measures taken
by the Government in the Punjab for quelling some local disturbances has,
with a rude shock, revealed to our minds the helplessness of our position as
British subjects in India. The disproportionate severity of the
punishments inflicted upon the unfortunate people and the methods of carrying
them out, we are convinced, are without parallel in the history of civilised
governments, barring some conspicuous exceptions, recent and remote.
|
Considering that such treatment has
been meted out to a population, disarmed and resource less, by a power which
has the most terribly efficient organisation for destruction of human lives,
we must strongly assert that it can claim no political expediency, far less
moral justification. The accounts of the insults and sufferings by our
brothers in Punjab have trickled through the gagged silence, reaching every
corner of India, and the universal agony of indignation roused in the hearts
of our people has been ignored by our rulers- possibly congratulating
themselves for imparting what they imagine as salutary lessons.
|
This callousness has been praised
by most of the Anglo-Indian papers, which have in some cases gone to the
brutal length of making fun of our sufferings, without receiving the least
check from the same authority, relentlessly careful in something every cry of
pain of judgment from the organs representing the sufferers. Knowing
that our appeals have been in vain and that the passion of vengeance is
building the noble vision of statesmanship in our Government, which could so
easily afford to be magnanimous, as befitting its physical strength and
normal tradition, the very least that I can do for my country is to take all
consequences upon myself in giving voice to the protest of the millions of my
countrymen, surprised into a dumb anguish of terror.
|
The time has come when badges of
honour make our shame glaring in the incongruous context of humiliation, and
I for my part, wish to stand, shorn, of all special distinctions, by the
side of those of my countrymen who, for their so called insignificance, are
liable to suffer degradation not fit for human beings. And these are the
reasons which have compelled me to ask Your Excellency, with due reference
and regret, to relieve me of my title of knighthood, which I had the honour
to accept from His Majesty the King at the hands of your predecessor, for
whose nobleness of heart I still entertain great admiration.
|
Yours faithfully,
|
